At the time of the establishment of Bangladesh Theological Seminary, there was no educational institution in Bangladesh to provide post-graduate education in Christian theology. Therefore, from the beginning, Bangladesh Theological Seminary was established with the dream that undergraduate and postgraduate students in Bangladesh can receive an acceptable, standardized, and international quality education system in all parts of the world. In 1991, this institution launched an international standard postgraduate course in Christian theology in Bangladesh under the management of Northwest Baptist Seminary, Tacoma, WA of USA. In 1995 AD, the institution launched international standard undergraduate courses through Piedmont Baptist College, Winston Salem, NC of USA. All undergraduate and graduate degree programs are conducted through the above two educational institutions in the United States. The quality of education, course selection, and teaching etc. are managed through the teachers coming from abroad under the supervision of the university. In 2003 AD, our organization was registered with Bureau of NGO Affairs, registration no.-1789.
Rationale for Project Area: Explanation of why Chattogram city was chosen as the project area.
As the project is located in the heart of Chattogram city, the communication system is very easy for the beneficiaries. All the students who come for study are provided free accommodation through the scheme. The center also has catering facilities for orphans. For this orphan children have the opportunity to study in good schools of Chattogram city. The project is established on its own land in Chattogram city.
